Here’s an example search to get you started with the screening functionality in SNL Office:
Find active producing mines, with a minimum amount of production of a specific commodity, in a defined geography.
• Open the SNL Office Data Wizard and select the Metals & Mining Properties data set.
• Select Copper from the Commodity drop down. For Primary Copper mines, select Search only primary commodities from the “Primary Commodity?” drop down.
• Select Production in Development Stage and Active in Activity Status. Next, select Chile under Property Geography.
• Click the “Add Criteria” button.
• In the Field Selector pop-up, select Copper commodity production for 2012. Click Apply.
• In the field Operator cell select “Greater than or equal to.” Then type 50000 in the “Value” cell.
